Silvia Vergara, with DCI in Chile says leaders here find it very difficult to understand their responsibility to send people out in mission, they only see planting churches nearby so we have a church almost on every corner but the Lord is working to move the churches to help finish the Great Commission.
The judge condemned Leo to a long time in jail for being a violent man, an addict and trafficker. It was in that Spanish jail, strapped to a table to restrain him, that my friend Miguel found Leo, out of his mind and fighting. Miguel told Leo that only Jesus could change his life and promptly ran from the cell to save his own life.
A month later the judge released Leo into Miguel’s care because alone in his cell Jesus met with him, saved him, healed him, restored his mind and before long Leo became a compelling evangelist, a husband and a father before dying of AIDS from former drug use, a few years later. We knew Leo well.
