Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God, speak tenderly . . .
Isaiah 40.1From Musme Apostol, Venezuelan Amazo
I'm in Pto Ayacucho representing the mission to the government. I'm also taking care of the Yanomami people who are in the city because they are sick. They are like fish out of water and I like to watch over them and help them. A chief is very ill and as he is a native and does not speak Spanish, he has received no medical attention. It has not been easy to find help for him. Please pray for the Lord to guide me and give me wisdom.
From Sandra Rodriguez, Cuba
My brother, Pablo Rodriguez Rio, lives in Miami. Five years ago he faced a tough test but did not rely upon the Lord. Now he is struggling alone on the streets of Miami. Help me pray for him and against the work of the evil so he may serve the Lord in strength. I cannot fly to Miami, but my prayers and yours can. From Samuel Forbes, Search Christianity
I visited your site and found the concept of several languages to be amazing. My wife and I are mission people and we are training for the pastoral ministry at a local Church but our real desire is in Church planting, mission work and humanitarian work. If God sent us now, we would be gone! However, God's plan for us is to train at present and to flow with the Search Christianity project. Please see http://www.searchchristianity.comSearch Christianity is a Christian 'Yahoo' style portal for the UK and Europe with search, categories, chat, news, forums - it's all there ! Take a look. I have the privilege to lead a church which is praying every morning at 4 am. The Lord encouraged us to give our love and support to missions so on the 29th, we are having a great service for Missions. The offerings shall be sent to needy missions people. I just need photographs and addresses to encourage my church to fall in love with Missions.

Don't let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God, trust also in me.
Jesus, John 14.1, the BibleFrom Dr Patrick Dixon, London, UK

See http://www.globalchange.com/terrorism.htm and pages on other trends. This site has had over 4 million hits in the last year. This week we are ministering in Mexico with a pastor who is still constructing his church. He is receiving many alcoholics and God is a restoring them. Our pastors are about to hold their 6th Women's Conference with about 600 ladies. Just a week ago were able to receive a pastor who arrived from Mexico with his wife and three children after 20 years of serving Christ there. We prayed for for a house and all he needs and that is exactly what God has done. From Mical Bogarin, Cd. Obregón, México
I am studying in the School of Mission to prepare for the work of the Lord. I want to study Arabic but I can't find an Arabic-English book. Could you please help? From Dr. Joseph D'Souza, India
We have just had a historic conference of 700 Christian Leaders who specifically met to hear from God about the momentous events unfolding in India. Dalit leaders spoke to us about what they expect from the Christian community as Nov.14th is the day the Dalits will have a mass conversion to Buddhism (or to any faith that will free them) leaving behind the religion that binds them in the caste system. Dalit leaders are confident that 1 million people will arrive in New Delhi and the mass conversion will lead to a national movement. This is the time for the Kingdom of God to spread and bless the nation. From Doug Lucas, Brigada Today News

We are planning a Bible meeting with our students next week. We have great support and a good teacher is invited. He is my Godfather and serves in a distant village near the Muslim Kazakhstan border. He also started studies in his village with young people. He says youth is a good soil there for Christianity. What we need are books including Old Testaments in Russian and English. From Robert Hosken, Moscow
Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:1. As long as you are doing His will, you are safe in His hands, He will keep you here on earth until your work for Him is finished. Over the last 30 years in my missionary work I have been followed and arrested, expelled from various cities and countries, etc. Some missionaries on our teams were imprisoned or killed in serving the Body of Christ. But we do not fear him (the devil) who can kill the body, rather we fear God.

Pray especially for rulers and governments
to rule well so we can be about
our business of living simply.
Paul to Timothy, 1 Timothy 2.2 (The Message translation)From Missions Statesman, George Verwer
I was so moved concerning what is going on with the terrible events in the USA that I decided to email to the President. After reading what I wrote, I wondered whether I should send it. Then I had a phone call asking me to speak on BBC Radio. As I was born just across from New York City and having lived abroad for 40 years, I believe I can say something that may help world leaders and President Bush to make the right decisions. Here is the letter in full. From Pastor George Purkweri, Lira, Uganda
I wish to share all that God has done as result of your prayers. So far I am building the up the ministry centre, the office and the shop for a communication centre. We plan a guest house, conference room and a micro-industry training centre for the disadvantages orphans and school drop-outs. I have set up a farm where I am now putting some few milk cow and oxen in addition to food production for Ministry. God bless you all. From Dr. Jose Humberto, Costa Rica
I am a pastor in Costa Rica and I asked for your prayers because I'm going to a very difficult time in getting work. From Dave Playle, Romania
Things are going well here, and the visit to Brasov was exceptionally good. I spoke on Jesus not breaking a bruised reed, and God used it to touch the hearts of people who were hurting with problems. Time with individual pastors and families has been a joy, we are constantly amazed how people persevere in the light of lack of facilities, opposition from traditionalists and lack of finance. From Baldomero Arévalo López, El Salvador
I am from El Salvador and I do the lessons with a group of friends. I belong to a national youth group. These news pages are a big help because I report them in our magazine. From Elías Meléndez, Monterrey, México
We are praying for God to help you and ministries like you. I am the pastor of a local church of 240 members and our vision is to reach our town for Christ. The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how,
for everyone you know.
Paul to Timothy, 1 Timothy 2.1 (The Message translation)From Miriam Judith Gonzalez, Tijuana, México
One day I would like to be a missionary but of course I've got to be trained. I belong to the Church of Christ in Tijuana, Mexico. I am very young the faith but I would love to be a missionary because just as other people helped me to find the word of God so I would also like to tell others. From Pastor Samuel, India
All our Pastors, Bible women and congregations doing well. Every month we fast and pray in 3 or 4 groups for 3 days. I welcome a visit by a small groups of people for a few days. Its a good thing. I am very sorry that long stay is not possible because if a foreigner comes and stays for more than 5 days in a small town it attracts the attention of government and religions that would certainly hinder and harass our work. From Jorge H. Velasquez, Duitama, Colombia
I serve in an AoG church as a deacon and also in leadership and teaching, as well as having a day job with a local energy company. I would like to know about any training courses which are not expensive or are free. I would also like to talk to anyone who can give me advice about doing social work in my town through the church. From OSCAR One Stop Missions Search, UK
There is a lot of information on the web about different countries, peoples and cultures with all sorts of statistical and Christian information for prayer or for planning. Oscar has a ready made list at http://www.oscar.org.uk/opportunity/locations/index.htmFrom Rubén Julio Patiño, Buenos Aires
I am the director of a team preparing a missionary journey to the "Impenetrable" part of Argentina to work with the aborigine people call the Wichis. We need doctors, nurses volunteers of all kinds. If you're interested please write to me. Thank you. From our colleague Robert Hosken, Moscow
I'm very pleased with Andrei's translation work of the School of Mission lessons. He has a wonderful "gift of tongues" and understands and writes English excellently. He is in Udmurtia, where we served for 3 years. Andrei is almost totally paralyzed from a tumor growing on his spine, and he types by holding a stick in his mouth! He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
. . . to comfort all who mourn.
From Isaiah 61, 2-3, speaking about JesusFrom Rev. Douglas Wood, New York, USA
I offer my condolences to the people in the UK that have lost a loved one in the World Trade Center. My heart is in great pain for God's people in the loss of a loved one. My prayer is that all of God's people will join hands together and fight this evil that we cannot see or hear, but with God on our side we will stand and we will win. If people would like to write I greatly welcome their letters. From A.S. Southern Russia
People should remember the last world war. Since the bombings in next few days will be near Russian border I'm afraid to have Talibans running to our country and killing my neighbors. Also I hope God will not let NATO pour innocent blood. God commands us not to commit murder. Russia has a bad experience of the wars.
From Francisco Javier, México
From here in Ciudad Obregon we are taking the gospel to different parts of our city because we believe that every place needs the saving presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for us.From Edwin Trujillo, La Paz, Bolivia
Our church began 25 years ago and has now established missions in the countries around us and we are sending missionaries to different parts of the world. We have always emphasised communications and today the church has ten television stations and 30 FM radio stations covering all the country. We are always developing our training but for the moment we are focusing on cells as they are a good way of training leaders. From Pastor César Oviedo, Saenz-Pena, Argentina
Isaiah 54 tells us to enlarge the place of our tent, to extend our tent curtains, not to hold back but to lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes because it is God's plan that we extend to the right and to the left. When our Father occupies the central place in our lives our relationship with him is so intimate that His plans and purposes impregnate our hearts.

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear . . .
From Psalm 46.1-2From our graduate Lynn Rosas, Tucson, USA
I write this through a heavy heart for so many that have been lost and injured today. I work in a high rise government building here and wonder what it must have been like for so many. I work at the top of my building and nothing can be done to help save people on my floor if anything were to happen. God said that in the end times things would be awful and they are. We should be in prayer for this kind of thing to not only take place. From Jacqueline Rubi, Cuautitlan, Mexico
I belong to a group of young people called Peace Mission. Every holiday time we go out and on the last occasion we used three buses to take us all over Mexico. We saw God healing paralysed children, and deaf and dumb people and others with cataracts on their eyes. Many people were set free and others surrendered their lives to their Creator. From Juan Diego Castro, Macas, Ecuador
I am a Baptist missionary working in the Ecuador jungle with the Shuar tribe. This has been a month of great blessings because we were doing Bible schools for children and campaigns for adults. We saw how God touched the lives of the native peoples. I am asking for a lot of help in prayer and every other kind of help for our projects amongst these communities. Please write to me.From Rev. Douglas Wood, Jamestown, USA

Have you asked Jesus into your life ?
Millions of men, women and children all over the world know the love of God for themselves and have decided to ask Jesus to be their Saviour, Lord and friend now and for all eternity. If you haven't taken that most important of all decisions yet, right now is always the very best time. For us over 24 years of following him, Jesus has proven himself to be our helper, our provider, our protector and shelter from the storms of life. Can we help you with this Prayer for you to pray ?
If you can't go yourself, then for God's sake
send another in your place
