PART TIME SECRETARY
TO THE BOARD OF THE DCI FUND


Job description
Receiving and replying to all DCI Fund correspondence, generally by e-mail.
Book-keeping data entry on a PC, reconciliation and weekly reporting.
Sending receipts and thanks.
Writing and sending reports of project progress to supporters.
Preparation of applications for funding.
Attendance at Trustees and team meetings where your opinion will be welcome.
Sending of funds to beneficiaries.
Tracking of any missing transfers.
Supervising the arrival of ongoing reports from beneficiaries.

Requirements
Mature, responsible man or woman of any age, from young to retired.
Proven trustworthiness with references.
IT literate with e-mails, webmail, Word and spreadsheet entry.
A comfortable familiarity with home accounting, mathematics and financial language.
Sympathy with the Christian viewpoint.
Concern for the lost, the last and least of the world.
Able to work from home with own connected PC or laptop.
Spanish and French would be very helpful but not critical.
We envisage a working week of ten hours to begin with, probably increasing.

We can offer:
A part time position with very flexible hours to suit the successful applicant.
A fixed salary or payment by hours given, to be negotiated but beyond the minimum wage,
probably in the range of £6.50 - £10.00 an hour depending on maturity and experience.
